Technical Indicators · Supporting tool

Read any stock
at a glance.

Pick a symbol and get an interactive chart with a curated indicator stack — moving averages and bands over the price, oscillators below — and the signals computed and surfaced for you, not just drawn.

A research tool, not investment advice or a buy/sell signal. Indicators describe past price and volume — what you do with them is your call.

How it works

From a ticker to a read in one step

Every panel shares one time axis, so price, momentum and volume line up exactly.

01 — PICK A SYMBOL
🔎

Any US-listed ticker

Type a symbol and the chart loads. Daily charts work for every account — even before you connect a brokerage — using standard delayed market data.

02 — SEE THE STACK
📈

Overlays and oscillators

Moving averages and Bollinger Bands sit on the price chart; RSI, MACD, OBV and ATR stack in their own time-synced panes below. Tune the periods to taste.

03 — READ THE SIGNALS
🚦

Computed, not just drawn

Golden/death crosses, MACD crosses, Bollinger squeezes and VWAP breaks are detected and called out — so you don't have to eyeball every line.

The indicators

Everything on the chart

A focused, standard set — the same indicator math the trading engine and backtests use, so what you see is what the strategies act on.

Daily — every account

Computed from daily bars on standard delayed data — available to everyone, even with no brokerage connected.

Moving averages — SMA
50 / 200
Simple moving averages: the classic medium- and long-term trend lines (and the golden/death cross where they meet).
Moving averages — EMA
12 / 26
Exponential moving averages weight recent prices, so they turn faster than SMAs to recent moves.
Bollinger Bands
20 · 2σ
A band two standard deviations around a 20-period average — widens with volatility and "squeezes" when it narrows.
RSI
14
Relative Strength Index momentum oscillator; flags overbought (above 70) and oversold (below 30).
MACD
12 · 26 · 9
Moving Average Convergence Divergence — trend-momentum with bullish and bearish crosses of its signal line.
ATR
14 · as %
Average True Range, shown as a percentage of price — a plain read on how much the stock typically moves.
OBV
On-Balance Volume
A running volume tally that confirms whether volume is backing the price move.
Support & Resistance
Swing levels
Recent swing highs and lows drawn as horizontal levels to frame the range.

Intraday — SIP data feed

Computed from intraday bars. These need your connected account's data feed to be the Alpaca SIP (Algo Trader Plus) plan — on the free IEX feed the page shows a clear "needs SIP" note instead, never an error, because intraday volume off IEX would mislead.

Session VWAP
Intraday
Volume-weighted average price, reset each session — the intraday line institutions watch for fair value.
Stochastic
14 · 3 · 3
A fast momentum oscillator; flags overbought (above 80) and oversold (below 20) on the intraday timeframe.
The signals

The reads, surfaced

The page doesn't just plot lines — it watches the relationships between them and tells you which ones are firing right now.

Trend
Crosses
Golden / death cross (50 vs 200) and price above or below its key moving averages.
Momentum
RSI · MACD
RSI overbought/oversold, MACD bull/bear crosses, and Stochastic extremes on intraday.
Volatility
Squeeze
A Bollinger squeeze when the bands tighten into the bottom of their recent range.
Intraday
VWAP break
Price crossing above or below the session VWAP (SIP feed).

Technical Indicators FAQ

Common questions

Not for daily charts — those use standard delayed market data and work for every account. Intraday indicators read from your own connected account's data feed and need the Alpaca SIP (Algo Trader Plus) plan.
The free IEX feed covers only a small slice of total volume, so an intraday VWAP or volume read off that tape would be unreliable. Rather than show a misleading line, the page detects an IEX feed and shows a clear "needs SIP" note instead — never an error.
Daily charts (Tier A — moving averages, Bollinger, RSI, MACD, ATR, OBV, support/resistance) are computed from daily bars and available to everyone. Intraday charts (Tier B — session VWAP and Stochastic) are computed from intraday bars and need a SIP data feed.
Yes. The moving-average lengths, RSI, Bollinger, MACD and Stochastic periods are all adjustable, so you can match the windows you trade with.
Yes — the page uses the same shared indicator math as the Day Trading engine and the backtest harness, so what you read on the chart matches what the strategies act on.
No. Technical Indicators is a research tool that describes past price and volume. Fuselit is a software platform, not a financial adviser — a signal on the chart is not a recommendation to buy or sell. Every decision is yours.
